We believe in the power of art in shaping societies, with literature acting both as archive and as a tool for creating dialogue, play, sparking imagination and fostering critical thought. The festival not only engages with artists whose work speaks to us but also seeks to engage in themes and topics that complicate, challenge and stretch how we view ourselves and interpret the worlds around us.

The Goethe-Zentrum Kampala is non-profit organization that supports the local art scene and fosters bilateral exchange between artists from Uganda, Germany, and other countries.
