Joshua Lubwama is a Ugandan writer and software engineer. He won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize for the Africa Region in 2025 and was longlisted for the Afritondo Short Story Prize in both 2023 and 2024. In 2026, he attended the Caine Prize Workshop in Zanzibar. He is an alumnus of the African Writers Trust, and his work has appeared in publications such as Granta, A Long House, Afritondo, and The Shallow Tales Review.
