Juliet Kushaba is a Ugandan feminist activist, scholar, and creative writer with some of her short stories published in Uganda by Uganda Women Writers Association - FEMRITE, in South Africa, and in the US.

In 2013, Juliet was named 1st Reserve for the Miles Morland Writing Scholarship for African Writers. She has been part of various writing fellowships, including the Ebedi International Writers Residency, Ibadan – Nigeria, Regional Writers Residency for African Women by FEMRITE (in Uganda and Sweden), among others. She’s the co-researcher and Writer of Emboozi Teba Nkadde, a book commissioned by Bayimba Cultural Foundation in partnership with British Council.

Juliet holds a BA in Education and an MA in Women and Gender Studies from Makerere University
