Michelle Ivy Alwedo is a Ugandan poet, playwright, and multidisciplinary writer. A First Class Honours graduate of the University of Limerick's MA in Creative Writing, Her work explores migration, identity, the absurdities of corporate culture, and the small moments that shape ordinary lives. She is the author of the poetry collection Still Blossoming, praised as a portrait of twenty-first century resilience, and five poetry chapbooks, most recently Perfectly Imperfect Portraits. Her poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies across Africa, Europe, and North America. Whether on the page or the stage, Michelle Ivy is drawn to stories that uncover tenderness, humour, and hope in imperfect lives. She writes actively on Substack as Alwedo.
